Stretch your budgets with our free training for charities
We're quite proud of our CSR programme at Knowledge Bites, and a key part of that is the free virtual training we offer to charities. Through our parent brand, Navanter, we've been offering free training to charities since 2011. When we launched Knowledge Bites at the beginning of 2020, we transferred the free training here.
We have a number of options for charities to benefit from our training without breaking the bank.
Free virtual training
All currently-scheduled courses are now full. To be kept informed of future dates, please add your name to the mailing list using the form at the bottom of this page.
A regular programme of virtual training on a variety of topics throughout the year. The current programme is as follows (all times are GMT/BST but charities from around the world are welcome to attend):
- Coaching Skills for Managers & Leaders: Tuesday 8th March 2022, 11am-1pm. NOW FULL.
- Using Formulas in Excel: Friday 18th March 2022, 12-2pm.NOW FULL.
- Creative Thinking for Innovative Problem Solving: Thursday 7th April 2022, 11am-2pm - lunch & learn.
- Introduction to Excel: Friday 6th May 2022, 1-3pm. NOW FULL.
- Working with Data in Excel: Wednesday 7th September 2022, 12-2pm. NOW FULL.
- Advanced Data in Excel: Thursday 29th September 2022, 9-11am. NOW FULL.
Please note if you book a course and do not notify us in advance if you can't come, we will ask you to provide permission from your manager in order to attend future courses - we have a big problem on free charity courses of people booking then not coming, which takes spaces away from other charity employees who would really benefit from the training.
Please note we need a minimum of 8 participants to make these courses work (for group work, etc.) so please spread the word and share with your charity networks.

Maximum numbers on free courses
In general, we are limiting the free courses to a maximum of 3 employees from the same organisation on a course. This is to ensure a good experience for all participants - if there are 10 people from one charity and just 1 from another, then it's not going to be a great experience for that individual!
If you have a larger number you need to train, please spread them out across the year, or consider scheduling something just for your charity.
Closed courses just for your charity
If you'd like to schedule a virtual course just for your charity, please let us know. We offer a huge discount on our normal prices, so it's just £150 for a 2-hour session as a closed course. Alternatively, if you don't have that budget, we're working on some other ideas at the moment, so please still get in touch.
Bespoke training for charities
If you'd like training that isn't listed on the website, we can design something just for you. In that case, we offer the same 65% discount on design and delivery fees. Again, please contact us for more details.
Face-to-face training for charities
If you'd like to go old-school and schedule some training delivered at your offices, again you can benefit from a 65% discount on training delivery fees. We'll invoice for travel and accommodation at cost.
